Join a unique, "boot camp" style certification preparation opportunity designed to help you earn a lifestyle wage while serving your community. Led by Nikia Lawson, a professional doula with over 30 years of experience, this program provides the competent skills needed to build a sustainable birth business.

How to Apply

The scholarship opportunity offers 100% tuition only for all Texas and New Jersey applicants (state, local, or organizational fees are not included).

  ​

• Deadline: All scholarship applications must be submitted by April 29, 2026.

   

 

Note: If you are not seeking a scholarship or do not meet the B.O.S.S. requirements, you can still register for the training for a fee of $349.29.

 

Program Requirements & Prerequisites

 

Participation requires a high level of commitment. To remain in the program, you must complete all weekly assignments and prerequisites:

 

• Weekly "Boot Camp" Sessions: Held May 6th – June 24th.

  ​

• Racial Equity Prerequisite: Complete the "Racial Equity and Inequities in Birthwork" course via DONA International.

  ​

• Virtual Components: Attend all virtual education for CBE, Birth Doula Training, and Lactation.

  ​

• Medicaid Prep: Complete required state paperwork in July 2026 with guidance from your mentor.
